Keila Butler - Kindergarten
B.S. Elementary Education, M.Ed. Early Childhood Education.
Keila has been teaching for 27 years. She has taught at BAA for 17 years. Her goal for the new school year is that her students become lifelong readers who look to Jesus for answers.

Wendy Newmyer - Grades 5 & 6
B.S. Multiple Subject Credential, M.A. Teaching Students in Other Languages
Wendy has joined the B.A.A. faculty having served as principal for two years and three years as teacher of grades 5 and 6. She has also substituted teacher for grades 1-7, served as teacher’s aide for grades 3 and 4, and developed physical education and team sports programs. As principal she implemented an after school program that included tutoring, photography, and drama, and started a chapter of the National Junior Honor Society. She has also developed an English Language Learner program and incorporated differentiated instruction, creating a learning environment for students with special needs, ELD, and GATE students.

Jillyn Dulcich - Grades 3 & 4
M.A. Elementary Education, B.S. Business Management
She has taught elementary and middle school for 8 years. Most recently was the 6th grade G.A.T.E. instructor for Owens Intermediate. Jillynn says, "I am blessed to be an elementary school teacher because I get to help train and teach young people to be responsible, caring, life-long learners that make a positive impact in the world." She is excited be at B.A.A.because she gets to share Jesus and the Bible with her students. Her favorite thing to do is to teach young people about Jesus and how much He loves them. Alongside the students' parents, she hopes to help create a strong foundation of faith in our young people and guide them into a life-long relationship with Jesus, our risen Savior."
Class goals for her students this school year are to learn how to be responsible, to care for others and their feelings, to grow academically, and to discover the awesome power of our God, and to learn to seek Him first in our lives.
Her guiding Scripture: Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
 

 
Lollie Schmidt - English, Life Skills, Yearbook
B.A. English, M.A. Counseling and Guidance
The last nine years of her 32 years of teaching have been at BAA. Her goal for the school year is to inspire students to love to read and love to write. She has shared Micah 6:8 as her text for the year.
 








 

 
Mike Schwartz - Principal, P.E.
B.A. Theology, M.A. Educational Administration Mike came to BAA in 2008. He taught Bible for 16 years and has been principal for more than 20 years. The value of the young is seen in 1 Timothy 4:12. Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers.

Steven Dulcich - Science, Health & Physics
B.S., M.Ed
Steve has been in been in education in a variety of capacities since 2001. I have served as a Therapy Aide, Anatomy Lab Instructor, Substitute Teacher, and full-time classroom teacher dedicated to Secondary Sciences. He enjoys the natural world that God has created for all of His children and I feel an exuberance for enriching the lives of others by sharing my knowledge.

His goal for this school year is to teach students about God's creations and to facilitate an engaging comprehension that will last for a lifetime.

The favorite passage of Scripture is found in Job 38:4-38 when God spoke with Job.
